Big Block Chevy engines have been a fan-favorite since they were introduced decades ago because they deliver massive torque down low and plenty of horsepower higher up the RPM band. Borowski Race Engines has integrated a set of superior quality aftermarket parts and applied our state-of-the-art CNC machining in order to create this 555 cubic inch BBC that delivers 830 horsepower and 775 lb-ft torque. That's about 1.5 hp per cubic inch in a hydraulic roller street build intended for dual use as a daily driver and to pound on at the track. The competition can't touch this kind of power in triple-nickel builds like this.
The short block features a Dart block, Callies crank & rods and Diamond pistons. The valve train features a BRE-custom COMP hydraulic roller cam, Johnson lifters and Scorpion Race Series rocker arms. The heads are Dart Pro1's that we have CNC machined from porter castings on our 5-axis. While the castings may be the same, the heads are different from the CNC heads that you can purchase from Dart.
A Wilson 4500 throttle body with a 2 inch bore rated at 1,745 cfm rests on top of an Edelbrock Super Victor, multi-port EFI intake manifold. Spark is delivered by an MSD billet distributor controlled by a Holley Terminator X. The optional X-Max provides transmission control as well. Moroso parts include the oil pan, filter and ignition wires.
