BOSCH PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS BECOME NEWEST MEMBER OF STAFFORD SPEEDWAY FAMILY
OF SPONSORS WITH SK LIGHT SPONSORSHIP

(Stafford Springs, CT)---The Robert Bosch Company, and their line of Bosch
Platinum Spark Plugs, has signed on as a sponsor of the SK Light division at
Stafford Motor Speedway for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Bosch Platinum will award $50 to the top three finishers of each SK Light
Modified feature event. In addition, Bosch Platinum will also initiate a
bonus plan for the top three in ’06’s final points chase. This plan will
pay out $50 per team for the first five events of the 2007 season.
“We are excited to have Bosch Platinum on board as a sponsor,” said Mark
Arute, Stafford CEO/GM. “I think Bosch’s bonus plan is a great idea. It is
something that we would like to eventually see in all of our divisions. We
look forward to a long relationship with Bosch Platinum. Together we can
make the SK Light Modified racing a successful venture now and in the
future.”
Bosch is involved nationally in motorsports by sponsoring NASCAR teams such
as Penske Racing, Evernham Motorsports, Hendrick Motorsports, Chip Ganassi
Racing, and Petty Enterprises. Bosch is also involved as sponsors in the
Indy Racing League supporting Penske Racing, Rahal Letterman Racing, Panther
Racing and Target Chip Ganassi Racing.
This signature sponsorship by Bosch is one of the company’s first at the
grass roots level of racing. It is a program that resulted from the
tireless efforts of one of Stafford’s longest running and most influential
partners, CARQUEST AUTO PARTS.

President and ABC/ESPN broadcast Jack Arute. “They are strong supporters of
local racing efforts and while weekly operations see more and more of a
disconnect between their efforts and those at the top levels of racing.

manufacturers and businesses participation on the local level.”

CARQUEST events at Stafford include their long running participation in the
Tech Net Spring Sizzler, The CARQUEST Fall Final and most recently the
development of CARQUEST Extreme Tuesday and this season’s companion open
